Shell has entered the Chinese market over a century ago and has become one of the international energy companies with the largest investment in China. How will Shell shape its second century in China? According to Shell China Chairman Hai Bo, Shell has been attaching great importance to the Chinese market over the 100 years during which it has been part of the Chinese market. He believes the partnership with CNPC is a reflection of this strategic focus on China. In his opinion, a good corporate citizen is one that is able to carry out localization very well, including talent localization and the localization of standards and principles.
